My experience with transportation began at an early age (11). I worked for my father and grandfather distribution companies. Immediately after school I would be picked up by one of our drivers. The idea was to expose me fully to the transportation business.
Our companies served the NJ and PA areas. Although our companies delivered products to various supermarkets and pharmacies, I learned early that transportation of products or people had similarities.
Customers demanded that you deliver them timely and safely. I met many people on the road and developed many personal and business relationships. I loved the transportation business but just like every young man I wanted to venture out.
During my years, I was involved in several short-term business ventures. For the most part, the business ventures were successful but not fulfilling.
I was missing a part of my earlier life that I ran away from. The love of working in the family transportation and distribution business.
Therefore, several years later I decided to confront my love & passion and started a family transportation business. This is the story of how TLD Worldwide was born.
